Cat's Cradle

Jewelry Designer, Martine Ali, and I recently collaborated on a project where we played with her necklaces and eventually got dirty with her whole collection. Check it out on the homepage of http://martineali.com/ with more images are under artist collaborations.

Special thanks to hand model, Danielle Riechers.

ZIP FACEBOOK EVENT

“a [ZIP] is designed to enable a , propelled by gravity to travel from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable by holding onto, or attaching to, the freely moving pulley.”

Having invited the artist to make , “to be experienced within a specially-expedited, viewing situation,” that is the ZIP format, [we] are then interested in understanding the form of play incited. To limit the viewing possibilities, and the irl viewing time, the aggressively addresses a proximal distance with the viewers’ attention deficit. The threat of loss that prompts Rihanna to cry/wail “I want you to stay,” the confusion that moves JT‘s falsetto, ‘goooone’, the impetus behind Kelly Clarckson's 3 separate songs about leaving, 'Already Gone', 'Since You've Been Gone', 'Gone.' Practice in hands free mobility, a touchless experience, where the involved is known through memory before the party is over.

Please, join [us] Saturday, July 6 from 700pm-10pm for a limited viewing experience, wherein each individual will be on display within a compressed time frame, in xXtreme action, at HIGH speeds.

Venturing off to warmer climax this spring? Maybe even you should consider what that means for you and your body in the stress of THE MOMENT. Interpretations suggest that your holiday travel tragedy is THE TRAGEDY[1].

Now you can excape, rielly excape. Rid yourself of the stressing travel stress. Make that paper airplane and fly your way through the boarding gate and on to higher perspective. Attached, find the instructions to remove yourself from that stressful moment; maybe you can even take a few of your fellow passengers onboard for the ride. Capture that feeling and contribute it to the web, #roundtrip.

Spring Break 2013: Roundtrip.
